What AE Actions does
AE Actions, by Shiraz Syed, borrows the idea of Photoshop's Actions panel for After Effects. It records timeline operations, layer changes, keyframes, effects, expressions and presets, then replays them on any composition with one click.
Actions can work at project or timeline level, and live polling mode records with a step inspector and editor. Keyframe offset and apply modes, a selected layers mode, and batch application to all comps provide flexibility. Libraries can be organized in folders with per-set notes, imported and exported, and an FFX auto-index and remapper handles presets.
