Blender add-on that brings a familiar animation layers workflow to the 3D viewport on top of the NLA.
What Animation Layers does
Animation Layers gives Blender a layer-based approach to animation, simplifying the NLA Editor for adjusting keyframed or motion capture data. Everything is done in the 3D viewport.
Layers can be created, selected and edited while always showing the final result, and their influence is controlled with the NLA's mute, influence, solo and blending modes. They can be merged or baked, including a smart bake that keeps the same number of keyframes, and layer hierarchies allow parenting. Animators refining mocap or adding secondary motion work non-destructively.
