Blender add-on that converts armature bones into mesh geometry with selectable bone shapes, joint spheres and density controls.

What Armature to Mesh does

Armature to Mesh is a Blender add-on by SamRog94 that turns the bones of an armature into real mesh geometry. It is useful whenever a skeleton needs to be rendered, exported or modeled on as solid objects.

You pick the bone shape from octahedral, cylinder or rectangle, optionally add spheres at the joints, and set the size and density of the result. A toggle leaves out helper bones such as IK handles, and the bone shapes option decides which bones end up in the generated mesh.

Key features

  • Octahedral, cylinder or rectangle bone shapes
  • Optional joint spheres at bone connections
  • Size and density controls
  • Option to exclude non-deforming bones like IK handles
  • Per-bone inclusion through Bone Shapes
