Armature Tools
Developer: Carlsu
Blender add-on that grows weighted bone chains from mesh topology, aimed at hair cards, tails and curves.
What Armature Tools does
Armature Tools is a Blender add-on by Carlsu for fast creation and editing of weighted bones on simple meshes like hair cards and tails. Bone chains grow along the mesh topology from selected vertices, with automatic detection of island starts for pointy tips.
It also creates bone chains for curves, including Bezier, NURBS and paths, with resolution and cyclic options, although curves can't be weight painted. Mesh island modes, usable in object or edit mode, rely on connected edges or average face area, and the resulting weights can be managed afterward.
Key features
- Grows bone chains from mesh topology
