What Auto Track Weights does
Auto Track Weights improves Blender's motion tracking by modulating the influence weight of tracking markers automatically. Instead of setting weights by hand, it fades them toward region borders and over gaps in the track.
The smoother falloff reduces abrupt jumps in the data the camera solver receives, improving solver stability. Matchmovers and compositors who track footage in Blender can use it to get cleaner camera solves.
