3ds Max script that relocates an object's pivot to its center of mass or its lowest point.
What AutoPivot does
AutoPivot repositions an object's pivot in 3ds Max, either to the center or to the foot. It does not depend on the standard Selection Bracket; instead it works out the center of mass for Mesh and Poly objects and the average vertex position for Splines.
Two commands are provided, AutoPivot_Center and AutoPivot_Bottom. Recent updates sped it up by as much as twenty times on heavy geometry, fixed pivots getting lost on open-edge geometry and fixed failures on groups nested in groups. It suits artists who prepare many props or imported models and want pivots in sensible places for placement, rotation or export.
