AutoTrack
Developer: Siemen-Lens
Blender add-on that automates 2D feature tracking and camera solving with filtering and a two-pass solver.
What AutoTrack does
AutoTrack is a Blender add-on by Siemen-Lens that automates much of the tracking and camera solving process for footage. It tracks markers both forwards and backwards and splits long clips into substeps so tracking stays stable across the whole shot.
A filtering step inspects tracks per substep so that gaps do not appear and marker density stays even. The solver runs twice: an initial solve, a cleanup of bad tracks, then a final solve that usually lands at about a pixel of error or better. Annotation masks, drawn with Grease Pencil or the annotation tool, let you exclude areas that should not be tracked.
Key features
- Forward and backward marker tracking
- Substep tracking for stability on long clips
- Smart filtering keeps marker density even
- Dual-pass solver with automatic track cleanup
- Annotation masks to exclude regions
