Axis Addon
Developer: Tiemen's addons
Creates alignment axes in Blender edit mode from a plane or three points and snaps the 3D cursor to them.
What Axis Addon does
Axis Addon helps position objects precisely, particularly around round holes and cylindrical parts. In edit mode it builds an axis from either a selected plane or three points picked on a circle, then adjusts the 3D cursor to match.
The plane option places an axis at the weighted center, perpendicular to the face. The three-point option finds the circle's center and puts the axis perpendicular to it. You can send the cursor to either end of the axis and then align a new object to it with the cursor-based align function, which suits mechanical and hard-surface modeling.
Key features
- Axis through a plane's weighted center
- Axis from three points on a circle
- 3D cursor placed at either axis end
- Object alignment to the axis direction
