Background Timesheet

Developer: Shynez

Download Free

Blender add-on that keyframes multiple background images on the active camera like an anime timesheet.

What Background Timesheet does

Background Timesheet, by Shynez, is built for 3D layout and guide work on 2D anime projects. It turns several image files into background image keyframes in the manner of an anime timesheet, and inserts the keys on the active camera whenever an image is added.

You find it in the Animation category of the 3D viewport sidebar. It changes the render resolution to fit image size, and a Reset Keyframes button fixes common key problems. Version 0.7.1 sets keyframe interpolation to constant. It is written in Python and needs no special permissions.

Key features

  • Background image keyframes from several files
  • Keys inserted on the active camera
  • Render resolution adjusts to image size
  • Reset Keyframes button
