Blender add-on that turns 2D images into bas-relief height maps using AI depth estimation.

What Bas-Relief Sculpt Add-On does

Bas-Relief Sculpt Add-On converts images into relief surfaces in Blender in a few clicks. Depth is estimated by the MiDaS DPT-Hybrid model, producing clean, sculpt-ready height maps suited to 3D printing, CNC or artistic work.

It also pairs with DepthMap Gen, which produces depth maps. The AI model downloads automatically on first use and depends on PyTorch and OpenCV. It works with Blender 3.0 through 5.0, is GPL licensed and comes with documentation.
