Boxcutter Power-Key

Developer: Galaxy Studios

Download Free

Blender add-on that combines two Boxcutter commands onto one hotkey to activate it and open its helper menu.

What Boxcutter Power-Key does

Galaxy Studios' Boxcutter Power-Key trims the key juggling Boxcutter needs. Press the power-key once to turn Boxcutter on from anywhere; press again and the d-key helper menu opens so cutting can begin.

It defaults to Ctrl+Q and can be reassigned under keymapping in Preferences, replacing the pair of default shortcuts (Alt+W and D). The add-on requires Boxcutter itself, targets Blender 4.0 and later, and installs from a zip. Hard-surface modelers get a smoother flow.

Key features

  • One key to activate Boxcutter
  • Second press opens the d-key helper menu
  • Default Ctrl+Q, reassignable
  • Merges Alt+W and D operations
  • Requires Boxcutter, Blender 4.0+
