What Bref - Minimalistic Reference Addon does
BRef brings layer-based reference image management into Blender. Images can float over the viewport as overlays or sit in the 3D scene as orthographic references using Empties.
Overlay images are draggable in Drag Mode, can be resized with the green corner, the K key or the mouse wheel, and can keep their aspect ratio. Layers let you show just the active one or all at once, and each image has its own opacity. Handy for modeling from blueprints and concept art.
