Camera Rigger
Developer: viro
3ds Max macroscript that parents a free camera to a chain of dummies, following a SIGGRAPH rigging demo.
What Camera Rigger does
Camera Rigger attaches any free camera you choose to a dummy hierarchy, creating a camera rig in 3ds Max. Its method comes from a rigging demonstration at a SIGGRAPH session on Max tricks.
It is installed as a macroscript in the mikes scripts category and has just this one purpose. A dummy-based hierarchy lets different aspects of camera movement be animated on separate controls, such as position, panning and tilting, instead of keying one object. Animators who want a tidy camera setup can use it as a starting point.
Key features
- Links a free camera to a hierarchy of dummies
- Based on a SIGGRAPH Max tricks rigging example
- Installs as a macroscript under mikes scripts
- Single-purpose camera rigging script
