EIndicator
Developer: EKDTools
3ds Max performance analysis tool that colors the scene as a heatmap from polygon counts and material complexity.
What EIndicator does
EIndicator evaluates how heavy a 3ds Max scene is and shows the result visually. It analyzes polygon counts and material complexity and paints objects with a heatmap, running from blue through green, yellow and orange to red.
Sampling controls set the number of samples per frame, and weight sliders decide how strongly polygon count and material complexity affect the score. V-Ray and Corona proxies and XRefs can be excluded. When finished, applied colors can be kept or the original wireframe colors and viewport settings restored automatically. Artists optimizing slow scenes can find the offenders quickly.
Key features
- Heatmap view of scene performance
- Adjustable samples per frame
- Weights for polygon count and material complexity
- Optional exclusion of proxies and XRefs
- Keep colors or revert to original wireframe settings
