Freeik
Developer: XBodya13
Blender add-on that converts a simple armature into a pin-based rig ready for animation within a few clicks.
What Freeik does
Freeik is a Blender addon by XBodya13 for character rigging and animation. A basic armature becomes a rig ready for animation after a couple of clicks, and then bones can be pinned and the hierarchy altered as you go.
Pinning or unpinning any bone while animating shapes how poses interpolate. Several posing modes are available, with animation layers and auto keying. Loops in the skeleton are allowed, and a rig may break apart into sections mid-session. It suits animators who want flexible posing without building a complex control rig.
Key features
- Armature to usable rig in two clicks or so
- Pin and unpin bones during animation
- Change bone hierarchy on the fly
- Multiple posing modes with layers and auto key
- Supports skeletons with loops
