Genesis: Light Generator
Developer: Jeff Lange
A Blender add-on that creates lights using color theory modes, layout modes and five light types.
What Genesis: Light Generator does
Genesis: Light Generator makes lighting setups in Blender by applying color harmonies, which helps artists reach pleasing palettes without choosing each light's hue by hand. It offers six color modes: Range, Complementary, Triad, Monochromatic, Split Complementary and Analogous.
Lights can be arranged in three layouts: a full sphere around the object, a top sphere above the horizon, or a spiraling grid overhead. Point, Sun, Spot, Area and Plane lights are supported, the last using an emission shader on a mesh plane, and more than eight settings allow fine tuning. Lighting and lookdev artists exploring moods will find it a fast starting point.
