Gravity Rope
Developer: IK3D
Blender add-on that simulates ropes, cables, chains and pendulums live on the GPU and dresses them with geometry node skins.
What Gravity Rope does
Gravity Rope is a Blender add-on from IK3D that simulates ropes, cables, chains and pendulums live in the viewport. Sketch a rope, hit Play, and it collides, respond to wind, stretch and snap, all calculated on the GPU with a WGPU and XPBD solver.
Every frame is cached while it plays, so you can scrub back and replay it without manual syncing. Collisions include self-collision, and wind and force fields are supported. Eight ready-made Geometry Nodes skins cover rope, chain, phone cable, ribbon, beads and a braided sleeve, with controls for twist and cross section.
