Helplines And Workplanes
Developer: KVD
Blender add-on for CAD-style guide lines, workplanes and snapping while modeling.
What Helplines And Workplanes does
Helplines And Workplanes gives Blender some of the drafting feel found in CAD programs. You lay down guide geometry first, then model against it with precise snapping.
Helplines can be horizontal, vertical or angled, placed by clicking in top view or at the 3D cursor, and can be offset by a set distance. Intersections generate points that follow their lines. Workplanes can sit at the origin, on an axis or on a selected face, and edges of a mesh can be projected onto one. Polylines, in open, closed or filled forms, and a snap rectangle work with ortho and grid snapping.
