What iZotope Velvet does
iZotope Velvet is a de-esser for Premiere Pro that divides audio into two channels, Sibilance and Tonal. Each can be treated separately, covering de-essing, de-clicking and reshaping of vocal tone.
A Sibilance Learn button finds the offending frequencies and configures the 6-band dynamic EQ automatically. Dynamic Tone Shaping offers Lift and Tame knobs, eight target profiles and frequency sliders, and a De-Click fader removes mouth sounds, pops and clicks while a counter shows the repairs. Either channel can be soloed for checking. Dialogue editors and voiceover producers get a quick way to tame harsh recordings.
