Mangaka
Developer: Gabriel1999
Blender add-on that converts 3D renders into a manga look with line detection, customizable screentones and Cryptomatte layers.
What Mangaka does
Mangaka turns rendered 3D images in Blender into manga-style artwork.
Basic and Advanced line detection are offered, with Advanced relying on an optimized edge-detection approach, along with customizable screentones. A Cryptomatte-based layer system enables individual adjustments per asset, for example line width and color. Illustrators and animators can produce comic-style frames from 3D scenes. Treating line work and tone as separate adjustable elements gives artists control over the final look and makes it easier to match a particular manga aesthetic.
