MIDI To Visuals
Developer: Patochun
Blender add-on that converts MIDI files into 3D animations synced to notes, velocity and tracks.
What MIDI To Visuals does
MIDI To Visuals, by Patochun, turns musical data into animation inside Blender. A MIDI file is read and its notes and instruments are mapped to visual sequences, so the picture follows the music exactly.
Six styles are offered: bar graphs, piano-roll style strips, falling waterfalls, fireworks, fountains and light shows. Animation follows note on and off events, velocity, track colors and timing, and MIDI formats 0, 1 and 2 are supported. It uses node-based materials, particle systems and Geometry Nodes, and can sync audio from MP3 with compositing effects.
