What Nx 3-Strip does
Nx 3-Strip imitates the look of three-strip Technicolor Process IV in DaVinci Resolve. Rather than applying a LUT, it is based on how the original dye-transfer process behaved, which gives it a richer and more dimensional response.
Hues are separated cleanly through narrow-band filtering, and saturated colors grow dense and darker instead of brighter, giving an oil-paint feel. Skin tones turn golden, highlights take on an ivory cream tone, and shadows stay cool while highlights stay warm. Blacks remain deep and structured, with a gentle highlight rolloff. Colorists working on period pieces or stylized grades can use it.
