OceanMaxPlugin
Developer: Eclat Digital
Exports 3ds Max scenes to the Ocean input format (.ocxml) for the Ocean full-spectral light simulation renderer.
What OceanMaxPlugin does
OceanMaxPlugin by Eclat Digital hands 3ds Max scenes over to the Ocean renderer, a full-spectral light simulation engine. It writes the Ocean input format, .ocxml, and automatically carries across the layer hierarchy, geometries, cameras and material names.
You can send the whole scene or pick parts, namely geometry, materials, environment and layers. It requires Ocean 2024R3, and version 2.2.0 added support for 3ds Max 2026. Engineers and designers running virtual prototyping with physically based light simulation can move models in without exporting by hand.
