Overscan Render
Developer: Blenderbob
Blender add-on that renders with extra border area using percentage, pixel or fixed-width overscan modes.
What Overscan Render does
Overscan Render is a Blender add-on by Blenderbob that renders images with extra area around the frame. An Overscan setting is placed in the Output settings below the render resolution and offers three modes.
Percentage adds a chosen percentage to the resolution, Extra pixel adds a fixed number of pixels, and Specific X resolution sets the width and adjusts the height to keep the aspect ratio. A thin line in the viewport marks the original crop, and the camera gets an _o suffix in its name for as long as overscan is on. Compositors use the extra pixels for effects and distortions.
Key features
- Percentage, extra pixel and specific X modes
- Option in Output settings under resolution
- Line marking the original crop in the viewport
- Keeps aspect ratio in X-resolution mode
