PastePath
Developer: Aris Melachroinos
Copies and pastes path data between masks and shape layers in After Effects, including keyframes and transformations.
What PastePath does
PastePath, made by Aris Melachroinos, is a script for After Effects aimed at moving path data around. It copies mask and shape paths, with their transformations or keyframes, and pastes them elsewhere.
Paste Mask applies copied data as mask paths on selected layers, while Paste Shape fills selected shape paths or creates a new shape layer if none is selected. Several paths can be copied and pasted to multiple targets at once, keeping their names. Keyframes land at the current time by default, or retain original times with Ctrl/Cmd. A setting fixes clockwise masks so feathering works.
Key features
- Copy mask and shape paths with keyframes
- Paste Mask and Paste Shape options
- Multiple paths to multiple targets
- Keyframes at CTI or original times
- Automatic fix for clockwise masks
