PhysX Painter
Developer: rauquenrol
Brush-based 3ds Max plugin that scatters assets into a scene using rigid body simulation for natural placement.
What PhysX Painter does
PhysX Painter populates scenes by painting assets in with a brush and letting rigid body simulation settle them naturally. It was made for architecture, game cinematics and commercials, replacing placement by hand and slower MassFX setups.
Paint Brush and Drop Brush modes support undo and painting across several collider and ground meshes. Three forces, Gravity, Attract and Explode, have adjustable strength, and Attract can be changed during simulation. Asset optimization is non-destructive, assets can become instances or copies, switching between high and low resolution meshes, and brush presets can be saved and reloaded.
