Pivot & Align Tools
Developer: lbrooks
Quad menu macros for 3ds Max that align objects and pivots and snap items to surfaces, working on multiple objects.
What Pivot & Align Tools does
Pivot & Align Tools, or PAT, is a collection of macros in a quad menu for aligning objects, aligning pivots and snapping objects. Most functions work on a selection of several objects at once, including open or closed groups.
Pivot Align To Polygon places the pivot at the center of a chosen polygon and orients it to the surface normal. Clone To Surface makes instances on a picked surface with each click, optionally with dragging, and Drag On Surface uses each object's negative local Z axis to find an intersection and snap to its normal. The quad setup fits the menu system in 3ds Max 2025 and later while older versions stay supported.
