Pixie Pivot
Developer: Armored Colony
Blender add-on for placing a custom pivot to align gizmos or move an object's origin, in the style of Maya and 3ds Max.
What Pixie Pivot does
Pixie Pivot adds a flexible pivot system to Blender, drawing on how Maya and 3ds Max handle pivots. You can set a custom point to orient the transform gizmo or to reposition an object's origin, and it also works with the usual G, R and S transform keys.
Gizmos can be oriented along edges or to face normals, and a click-and-drag method lines a gizmo up with another element without extra steps. It suits modelers and animators who frequently need to rotate or scale around a specific spot.
Key features
- Custom pivot for gizmo alignment or origin change
- Works with G, R and S transforms
- Gizmo orientation from edges or face normals
- Click-and-drag alignment to other elements
- Pivot behavior borrowed from Maya and 3ds Max
