Pluck
Developer: Mooviemakers
After Effects tool for importing individual comps from other projects with their dependencies, or exporting comps as standalone files.
What Pluck does
Pluck, from Mooviemakers, lets you pull single compositions out of other After Effects project files without opening them. A full comp list shows dimensions, frame rate and duration, with search and filtering, before anything is imported.
Dependencies such as precomps and footage come along automatically, with deduplication that relinks existing items. Expression warnings flag broken references, and per-layer imports bring in a slimmed copy with parents, track mattes and linked layers. Imports can be organized by folder structure, type or a custom sub-folder. Selected comps export as a standalone .aep or .zip with tokenized names, handy for reuse and delivery.
Key features
- Browse comps in any .aep without opening it
- Automatic dependency resolution with deduplication
- Expression warnings before import
- Per-layer imports with parents and mattes
- Export comps as .aep or .zip with token names
