Pseudo Rendering Farm
Developer: mklimenko
Blender extension that shortens EEVEE and Cycles render times by running parallel background Blender instances.
What Pseudo Rendering Farm does
Pseudo Rendering Farm makes better use of one computer by starting several background Blender instances to render the current file together. Each instance claims its own frame through placeholder files with overwrite disabled.
A built-in benchmark renders the first 50 frames to estimate how many instances to run, and an experimental multi-GPU setup works on the Vulkan backend. Since version 1.1.1 the overwrite and placeholder requirements are lifted for single or identical GPU systems. It helps most with EEVEE and simple frames, where submission overhead rivals render time.
Key features
- Parallel background Blender instances
- Frames claimed via placeholders
- Benchmark estimates the instance count
- Experimental multi-GPU on Vulkan
- Works with EEVEE and Cycles
