rBIsolate
Developer: id_ivan
MaxScript isolation tool for 3ds Max with levels, named sets, scene states, layers, instances, categories and name matching.
What rBIsolate does
rBIsolate extends isolation in 3ds Max far beyond the native tool, which remains available alongside it. Isolation levels stack, and the isolated set can come from named selection sets or scene states, which you can step through and add to or remove from.
Layers can drive isolation too, in the classic Layer Manager and the newer Layer Explorer, multi sub layers included, and so can shared instances of objects, materials or modifiers. Hide and unhide by category covers Xref scenes and Forest Pro and RailClone objects, and name matching uses asterisk and question mark wildcards. Artists with large scenes can focus quickly on the parts they need.
