What Select Similar Tools does
Select Similar Tools extends selection in Blender by matching properties. It finds objects that resemble the active one in several ways and can gather them together, which is useful in cluttered scenes with many repeated parts.
Match Dimensions uses a tolerance slider, Match Shape compares vertex and face counts, Match Material and Match Modifiers filter by setup, and Name Prefix Matching catches names like Cube.001 and Cube.002. Results can be placed into a new collection so that the whole group is easy to move, hide or process.
