Separate by Collision
Developer: Hattiffnat
Blender add-on that splits a mesh into loose parts and rejoins parts that touch, using surface or bounding box tests.
What Separate by Collision does
Separate by Collision, by Hattiffnat, sorts a combined mesh into logical pieces. It first separates the mesh by loose parts, then joins together any parts that collide with each other.
The mesh surface radius is adjustable, and two modes are offered: Surface, the standard option that calculates real surface collisions, and Bounding box for a faster approximation. It helps when cleaning up imported models made of overlapping components.
Key features
- Separates by loose parts
- Joins colliding parts
