What Smart Align does

Smart Align lines up and distributes multiple objects in Blender with a choice of layouts.

Objects can be placed along X, Y or Z, with Align Z stacking vertically, or in grids across the XY, XZ and YZ planes and negatives, optionally with auto-calculated size. Diagonal layouts use even spacing, bounding box alignment targets top or bottom extremes relative to the 3D cursor, and spacing and rotation are customizable with one-click reset.
