Splats
Developer: Dev.Patel
Blender extension that outputs image sequences from cameras spread over a sphere, for Gaussian Splatting datasets.
What Splats does
Splats prepares training data for 3D reconstruction in Blender. It renders sequences from viewpoints placed around a sphere following a Fibonacci distribution, with automatic frustum culling and a live camera preview.
For each frame it exports a PLY point cloud and writes camera parameters in OpenCV format. That output suits training sets for Gaussian Splatting, NeRF and photogrammetry work.
Key features
- Cameras arranged on a Fibonacci sphere
- Multi-frame rendering
- Automatic frustum culling and live preview
- Per-frame PLY point cloud export
- Camera parameters in OpenCV format
