Spline FFD
Developer: luisllamas
Moves many mesh vertices at once in 3ds Max by editing a spline generated through the selected points.
What Spline FFD does
Spline FFD, by luisllamas, builds a spline through points you pick on a mesh and uses it as a handle: move the spline's points and the original vertices follow. This gives a smooth way to reshape groups of vertices.
The number of segments is adjustable, with one segment moving points in a straight line and more adding complexity and fit. Closed contours work for seams and joints, with at least six segments recommended. Vertex types can switch between smooth, bezier and corner at any time, with handles for reshaping. Version 1.1 adds modes that preserve original vertex distances or distribute vertices evenly.
Key features
- Spline generated through selected mesh points
- Adjustable segment count
- Works on closed contours for seams and joints
- Smooth, bezier and corner vertex types
