ToothPaste
Developer: Sergio Ribero
Pastes SVG artwork from the clipboard into After Effects, keeping structure, text and raster images.
What ToothPaste does
ToothPaste, by Sergio Ribero, brings vector artwork into After Effects by pasting it straight from the clipboard. Copy an element from a design application, paste it into the composition, and it arrives as After Effects layers.
Raster images embedded in SVGs are supported, and the layer structure stays close to the original design file. Groups can be pasted as precomps, text remains editable by default, and strokes in text are supported. It works with After Effects from CC 2014 through 2026, saving designers time over exporting and importing files.
