Translational Walk Aid
Developer: Levonotion Studios
A Blender add-on that moves a biped walk forward, shifting the foot and center of mass by stride length.
What Translational Walk Aid does
Translational Walk Aid, or TWA, from Levonotion Studios helps animators move a biped walk cycle through space without foot sliding. It advances a foot while the center of mass repositions according to stride length, with keyframes added automatically at your chosen interval.
You specify the number of steps, forward or backward, and can use it on an existing walk cycle or build one from scratch, for walking or running. It is compatible with Rigify, BlenRig and Auto-Rig Pro. Version 3.0 added options for climbing up and down stairs, extending its usefulness for character animators.
