What TypePlay does
TypePlay, by Othman Ahmed, is a wave-based animator for After Effects. Rather than keyframing, you let waves drive any text or layer property, producing flowing, rhythmic motion.
Dozens of wave types are on offer, together with easing modes and direction controls. Individual controllers can be linked to a master, a live interactive preview shows changes as you make them, and a preset system saves, loads and manages setups. Motion designers building bouncing, undulating titles and organic movements will get results quickly.
