What Video Copilot BackLight does
BackLight is a library of lighting resources from Video Copilot, aimed at 3D scenes in After Effects. It works with Element 3D V2 or any other 3D application, supplying maps for image-based lighting and reflections.
There are 50 spherical HDRI environment maps, which include 35 photographic light maps and 15 multi-arrays. Environments come in 8K, 4K and 2K, in JPG and HDR formats, and can also serve as backgrounds and textures. Settings include studios, warehouses, hallways, industrial rooms and abstract light rooms, which suits dramatic reflections.
