World Align
Developer: Nick Barre
Blender add-on that aligns a mesh to the world axes, or bakes its rotation, from face selections on two sides.
What World Align does
World Align straightens rotated meshes in Blender without measuring angles by hand. pick faces from two sides of the mesh and choose whether to align the object to the world or bake its rotation angles into the transforms.
The two sides do not need to be perpendicular, and several faces can be chosen per side, which helps with noisy surfaces such as 3D scans. It can even align a cylinder that has an odd number of segments. Documentation is included, and it suits scans and high-poly models of unknown rotation.
Key features
