What YouTube Assistant does
RIE Technology's YouTube Assistant is a panel for searching and downloading from within After Effects and Premiere Pro, and it also works with Audition. It finds YouTube videos and audio intended for non-commercial or learning purposes.
Videos can be played in a mini player or standalone browser before download. You choose video quality or audio only, grab live streams, and save subtitles and closed captions as SRT. Unsupported video codecs can be transcoded with FFmpeg, which must be installed separately. Image searching follows the Search Assistant approach. Editors gathering reference material or study clips can stay in their application.
