Zaebects Modulation
Developer: Zaebects
Creates an analog distortion look in After Effects and Premiere Pro by shifting signal frequency with image brightness.
What Zaebects Modulation does
Zaebects Modulation applies modulation and demodulation algorithms to footage, adjusting signal frequency according to the brightness of the picture. The result resembles the wobble and interference of analog video equipment.
Omega, Phase and Distortion parameters shape how the wave moves, waves can run forward or backward and vertically or horizontally, and the colour mode can be Greyscale, RGB, CMY, CMYK or HSV with channels switchable one at a time. Lowpass filters, three of them toggled and one adjustable, clean the signal. It runs in After Effects and Premiere Pro without any coding. Glitch and VHS-style editors can experiment freely.
Key features
- Physical modulation and demodulation algorithm
- Omega, Phase and Distortion controls
- Five colour modes with switchable channels
- Forward and backward waves, both orientations
