What Add Edit Markers does
Add Edit Markers is a script by Lloyd Alvarez that marks where layers begin and end. Select layers in a composition and it drops markers at their in and out points, which makes it easy to see cuts and align other elements.
Markers can be created on the layers themselves or on the composition. A split marker option arrived in version 1.5. It works with After Effects from CS6 through 2026, and a demo video is available on the developer's page. It is a time saver when preparing edits or syncing animation to cut points.
