aePipeline
Developer: Eric @ VFX Tools
Automates VFX shot setup, versioning, render queuing and matte output inside After Effects.
What aePipeline does
aePipeline, from Eric at VFX Tools, is a pipeline tool for After Effects artists handling VFX shots. It builds shots, tracks versions, queues renders and produces mattes with a few clicks.
AutoComp assembles comps from plates and pairs a reference QuickTime with its plate even when names differ. QueueUp manages render settings, output paths and routing with a filename safety check. matteMaker prepares matte shots, accounts for the slate and renders alpha-only ProRes 422. A New Client Wizard covers slates, folders, handles and CDL paths, and conditional rules allow things like a different LUT for night shots. Less Mode shrinks the interface.
