What Trim to Layer does
Trim to Layer is a script by Lloyd Alvarez that matches a layer's duration to its neighbors in the stack. Trimming by eye or by dragging edges is imprecise, and this does it in a single action.
The selected layer can be trimmed to the layer above, to the layer below, or fitted between the two. The interface is dockable, KBar is supported, and the script also accepts direct arguments so it can be called from other tools. It is handy in edits with many stacked clips or background layers that need to line up exactly.
