Atmos

Developer: CITIGEN

Download Free

Blender add-on that lays real-time haze over the ground in outdoor scenes without fogging the sky.

What Atmos does

Volumetric fog usually swallows the sky as well as the landscape and slows rendering. Atmos from CITIGEN takes another route: it adds haze to the ground of outdoor scenes while the sky stays clear, and can even leave an HDRI background alone.

You click, select and resize, scaling the Atmosphere Object to tune the haze. Favourite settings can be stored as presets and passed to others. Its developer notes quicker renders than the volumetric method, which helps landscapes, exteriors and moody establishing shots.

Key features

  • Real-time haze for outdoor scenes
  • Sky stays clear, haze sits on the ground
  • Option to leave an HDRI background unaffected
  • Resize the Atmosphere Object to adjust
  • Save and share haze presets
