BlenderAe2
Developer: Salt Media
Moves 3D objects, cameras and vertex data between Blender and After Effects in both directions.
What BlenderAe2 does
BlenderAe2 is a bridge between Blender and After Effects, built for artists who split work between a 3D package and a compositor. It sends scene data across so you don't have to rebuild layers or cameras by hand on either side.
Transfers run both ways and cover 3D layer transforms, camera information and vertices, including vertex data from cloth, ocean, soft body and rigid body simulations. Layers can stay synchronized with auto-connect, and a quick glTF exporter is available in recent After Effects versions. It installs as an extension in Blender 4.2 and later, or as an add-on for Blender 3.6 LTS through 4.2.
Key features
- Two-way object and camera transfer
- Vertex support for cloth, ocean, soft and rigid body sims
- Layer synchronization with auto-connect
- Quick glb (glTF) exporter for After Effects
