Cell Fracture
Developer: Community
Blender add-on that breaks a mesh into fractured pieces from the Object > Quick Effects menu.
What Cell Fracture does
Cell Fracture splits a Blender object into a set of broken fragments, which is handy for shattered walls, smashed props and destruction scenes. It was bundled with Blender 4.1 and is now maintained by the community and offered as it is.
The command is found in the viewport's Object menu under Quick Effects. It works on Blender 4.2 LTS and later, weighs under 10 KB, needs no special permissions and is distributed under GPL version 3 or later. Animators and VFX artists can use the fragments with rigid body simulation to produce collapsing or exploding geometry.
