Chunk Render
Developer: Shuimeng
Blender add-on that renders an image in tiles and stitches them into a full frame afterwards.
What Chunk Render does
Chunk Render splits the final image into regions, renders them one after another and merges them when finished. This helps with huge scenes, long render times and recovering from unstable jobs.
Tiling uses preset levels or manual rows and columns, optionally limited to the render border, with a tile overlay in the camera view and bleed pixels to hide seams. You can render all tiles or only chosen indices, merge automatically, delete tile files afterwards, and re-merge tiles from disk. Multi-layer EXR merging uses OpenImageIO when available, and frequently used regions can be saved.
Key features
- Tiling by preset levels or rows and columns
- Real-time tile overlay grid
- Bleed pixels to reduce seams
- Render selected tile indices
- Automatic and multi-layer EXR merging
